The Children’s Day Hospital, formerly known as the Clinical Decision Unit (CDU) is now open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The CDH is an option for children requiring extended treatment or undergoing observation. Services offered are beyond the scope of an office visit and offer the benefit of avoiding an emergency room visit or hospital inpatient admission.
The Children’s Day Hospital provides a wide range of infusion and supportive services in a child friendly, comfortable and convenient clinic located on level AA of the Children’s Hospital. Our PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certified nursing staff provides the most advanced level of care for outpatient pediatric patients. Nurses and support staff monitor therapy and provide services including:
- Antibiotic Therapy
- Chemotherapy
- Hydration Therapy
- Transfusion / Infusion of Blood Products
